Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for rotating the magnet by appling multiphase AC to arc-form multiphase windings and using the moving magnetic fields generated thereby as well as to make the mechanism of the magnetic force screening machine simple by creating the break portion of the magnetic fields and screening magnetic materials through utilization of said portion. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic force screening machine is constituted by the multiphase AC magnet 21 consisting of iron cores 22 and windings 23 and a cylindrical drum 4 or other. The materials to be screened are supplied onto a rotary drum 4 from a belt conveyor 26 and are placed in the rotating magnetic fields generated by the multiphase AC magnet 21. The non-magnetic metal materials 11 in the materials to be screened are flown in the direction tangential to the advancing direction of the rotating magnetic fields by the induction electromagnetic force. The magnetic materials 10 receive magnetic attraction force by the rotating magnetic fields and as the drum 4 rotates, they advance but when they reach the breadk point of the multiphase AC magnet 21, the rotating magnetic fields become weak and the magnetic materials drop by gravity from the drum 4. Since the non-metallic materials 12 do not receive any force at all by the rotating magnetic fields, they fall by gravity as the drum 4 rotates.
