Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to control easily a frequency by using a varactor as a multivibrator. CONSTITUTION:Varactor C2 is connected in series to capacitors C1 and C3, and to a connection point at the cathode side of varactor C2, control power supply V is connected through resistance R3. Further, the anode-side connection point of varactor C2 is grouned by way of resistance R4. As a voltage across power supply V increases or decreases, varactor C2 decreases or increases in capacity value, allowing control of the capacity value of varactor C2. The moment a potential at connection point 1' exceeds a logical threshold level or falls by charging a group of capacitors or by discharging by way of resistance R', outputs from inverters A' and B' become zero and power voltage VDD repeatedly, thereby obtaining operation of a astable multi-vibrator. Varying power V varies the time constant of charge and discharge, so that the frequency of the multivibrator can easily be controlled.
