CONSTITUTION:When the output of the 2nd inverter G2 is at a level H, the series circuit of the electrostatic capacitance C1 of a sensor CS and a distributed capacitance Cs2 is charged. At this time, the output impedance of the 2nd inverter G2 is small, the presence of the distributed capacitance Cs1 exerts no influence. Further, the output of the 1st inverter G1 is at a level L, and the charge in the distributed capacitance Cs2 is discharged as a constant current through a constant-value current limiting circuit CC. When an output B goes down to some level where the output of the 1st inverter G1 is inverted, the output of the 1st inverter G1 goes up to the level H. The residual charge of the distributed capacitance Cs2 is discharged rapidly through an electrostatic capacitance C1 and when the output B reaches a negative constant value, the distributed capacitance Cs2 is charged with a current passing through the constant-value current limiting circuit CC. This operation is repeated to obtain an oscillation frequency (f) which corresponds to the electrostatic capacitance C1.
