Abstract

PURPOSE: To achieve the improvement in the workability of the assembling device by laminating two sheets of large-size electrode plates sandwiching sealing agents by way of spacers being elastic material in multilayers and evenly pressing the large-size electrode plates through the use of a rubber bellows for air spring.
CONSTITUTION: Large-size electrode plates 8 sandwiching sealing agents 2 are laminated in multilayers by way of spacers 6 and the laminate is installed on a stand 16. Next, high pressure air is introduced from a fluid joint 15 into a rubber bellows 11 to lower a pressure plate 13, thereby pressing the sealing agents 2 between the large-size electrode plates 8. After this, the fluid joint 15 is closed. Next, the assembling device is put in a curing furnace where it is heated to let the sealing agents 2 to cure, thereby bonding and fixing the large-size electrode plates 8 at the required gap. Next, the assembling device is withdrawn from the furnace and the fluid joint 15 is opened to let the pressure plate 13 ascend by the action of a spring 12, whereby the large-size electrode plates 8 having been bonded and fixed by the sealing agents 2 are taken out. In this way, the workability of the assembling device may be improved.
