Abstract

PURPOSE: To lower the effect of the intake pulsation by providing the heat-sensitive resistor at the position where a specified relation is secured with the tube diameter of the intake path at the downstream of the bell mouth part.
CONSTITUTION: Heat-sensitive resistor 101 is put at such position as to satisfy L<50D, where distance is L from the lower end of bell mouth part 105 to resistor 101 and D is the diameter of intake path tube 102, at the rear flow of part 105. Upstream air path 106 of part 105 is put in an axial symmetric way to part 105, and at the same time L2>1/2D is secured between length L2 and diameter D. Thus the uniform flow velocity distribution is obtained. In this way, the flow velocity distribution becomes uniform near the heat-sensitive resistor, at the same time reducing the effect of the engine's intake pulsation. Thus the detection accuracy can be increased.
