Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a video signal modulation circuit to which a filter for removing needless high-frequency components can be inserted, by using a transistor where the emitter current is proportional to the oscillation frequency.
CONSTITUTION: Video signals which passed through AGC 10 are applied to the clamp circuit 2 through the clamping capacitor 13 and have the leading edge of synchronizing signals clamped and become video signals, where the high band is emphasized, in pre-emphasis circuit 12 and have the overshoot clipped by the clip circuit 4. These the signals are applied to the base 5 of the transistor 5 where the emitter current is proportional to the oscillation frequency. As a result, when a LPF formed by the capacitor 13 and the inductance 14 is connected to the emitter terminal of the transistor 5, the FM modulation of video signals can be performed by FM modulator without influence of needless high-frequency components dependent upon the clip of video signals applied to the base.
