Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the insulating strength of a stationary induction electric machine by inserting insulating barriers into coaxial cutout grooves provided for retaining windings to thereby secure an oil passage between the barriers.
CONSTITUTION: Insulating barriers 4 are inserted into coaxial cutout grooves 8a, 8b, 9a, 9b provided at winding retainer 25 to thereby secure an oil passage. Since the conventional barrier spacers are thus removed to lower the potential gradient applied to the oil gap between the barriers, the insulating strength can be improved. Inasmuch as the creeping distance between low voltage winding 2 and high voltage winding 2 can be increased according to this construction, creeping surface can be hardly broken.
