Abstract
PURPOSE:To make adhesion of contamination to hard and to reduce deterioration of insulation resistance and earthing trouble of the rotor of an electric rotary machine when ventilating holes are to be provided in insulating spacers to be inserted under coil wedges by a method wherein the diameter of the ventilating holes are formed as to differ in the radial direction of the rotor. CONSTITUTION:A subslot 13 extending in the axial direction is provided at the bottom part of a coil slot 17, and the ventilating holes being connected to the subslot 13 and penetrating a bottom insulator 14, an insulator 12 to the earth, coils 11, an insulating spacer 10, and a coil wedge 9 are provided, and cooling is performed directly. At this time, the diameter of the ventilating holes to be provided in the insulating spacer 10 are so formed as to differ in the ventilating direction of a refrigerant. Accordingly because the creeping distance is enlarged and adhesion of contamination on the inside face of the insulating spacer 10 becomes hard, deterioration of insulation resistance and earthing trouble can be reduced.
