Abstract
PURPOSE:To inject necessary amount of the defoaming agent correspondingly to the variation of the amount of foam in order to contrive the reduction of consumption of the defoaming agent, by arranging the foam detector and the defoaming agent feed controller in the defoaming agent feeder in which the intake vessel is communicated with the feed pipe. CONSTITUTION:The defoaming agent injector 2 is arranged above the water surface of the waste water treating tank 1. The injector 2 is communicated with the foam and the vessel 4 provided with the defoaming agent intake 3; besides, the injector 2 is provided with the injection pipe 6 opening at the level lower than the intake 3; and the foam detector 7 is installed at the level equivalent to the opening level of the injection pipe 6. According to this detecting signal, the pump 9 is put on through the defoaming agent feed controller 8, and the defoaming agent is fed to the treating tank 1 through the intake 3 of the vessel 4 and the injector pipe 6. When the upper surface of the foam descends to a level lower than the detector 7, the feed of the defoaming agent is stopped. Several injection pipes 6 of the vessel 4 can be arranged in the tank 1 if necessary. The anomalously generated foam is taken into the intake 3 and the equivalent amount of the defoaming agent is pushed out.
