Abstract

PURPOSE:To control an amount of combustion into a substantially constant level at all times by a method wherein a water tank is provided at a lower section of a combustion chamber, a float fire grating is floated here, combustible materials to be burnt such as waste plastics or the like are thrown thereonto and the fire grating is moved vertically in accordance with an amount of the thrown materials. CONSTITUTION:A water tank 2 is provided at a lower section of a combustion chamber 1 and an overflow device 4 is provided so as to communicated with the water tank through a notch 3. A water level detecting gauge 5 is provided in the device 4 to detect the water level after overflowing and an amount of the water in the combustion chamber 1 is adjusted if necessary by operating a pump 6. A metallic float fire grating 7 is floated in the water tank 2 in the combustion chamber 1 movably in up-and-down and waste plastics are thrown onto the fire grating 7. Then, the fire grating 7 is sunk by a weight of the waste plastics, however, a constant volume of the waste plastics is appearing above the water level at all times due to a specific gravity (about 0.8-1.2) of the waste plastics. Accordingly, the amount of the waste plastics which are burnt becomes substantially constant at all times and an overcombustion may be prevented.
