Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the frequency characteristics of phase difference caused due to the feeding line length between radiation elements, by assembling the delay equalizer of tri-plate, so-called, meander line type, between the radiation elements. CONSTITUTION:The meander line type delay equalizer 7 is assembled in one microstrip line 2b among a pair of microsctrip lines 2b and 2c different in length to power feed for the radiation elements 1a and 1b. Taking the length of the feeding lines 2a, 2b, 2c as respectively l1, l2, l3, the phase difference delta1 caused by the length of feeding line is delta1=360(l2+l3-l1)/lambdam, taking the propagated wave length as lambdam. The frequency characteristics of the phase difference delta1 is straight line as shown in the dotted line. The characteristics of the meander line type delay equalizer 7 is delta2 as shown in chained line, which can made the power feeding phase difference giving effect on the frequency characteristics of radiation characteristics to 180 deg..
