Abstract
PURPOSE:To remove a disturbing wave from a specific direction over a wide band, by varying the direction of an element antenna while holding the main shafts of two element antennas in parallel. CONSTITUTION:Outputs of two element antennas 1 and 2, which have the same characteristics, obtained by arranging linear elements 12 and 22 on main shafts 11 and 21 as radiator, waveguides, reflectors, etc., are passed through coaxial cables L1 and L2 and mixed by a opposite-phase synthesizer 3 to obtain a reception output. Then, two insulating arm shafts 31 and 32 are used to turn the element antennas 1 and 2 with the main shafts 11 and 21 put in parallel, and both their ends can be fixed on the main shafts 11 and 21 at an equal interval and at prescribed distance in the axial direction. Therefore, the main shafts 11 and 21 of the element antennas 1 and 2 are always in parallel, deep null directivity is obtained in some direction over a wide frequency range.
