Abstract

PURPOSE: To equalize the amount of fuel in each cylinder of a device which injects fuel in accordance with air taken in an engine, by keeping the pressure difference between both sides of a fuel meter without using a spring for constant-differential pressure valve fitted to each cylinder.
CONSTITUTION: Air is taken in an engine in accordance with the position of an air flow check valve 4 which is controlled by a pressure valve Pn fluctuating from Pa1 to Pa2, the pressure difference between both sides of the valve being kept constant. The opening area of a fuel measuring port 15 of fuel flow meter 2 is adjustable as a spool 12 vertically moves a control rod 9 of the check valve 4. A constant- differential pressure valve 3 keeps the difference between P3 and P2 constant by means of a ball valve 23 and valve seat 24, and P0-P3 is equal to P1-P2 when a solenoid valve 18 is fully open. A pressure controller 33 provides a pressure difference of A+B, when A=P1-P2 and B=P2-P4. When P0-P2 is kept constant, the fuel flow is proportionate only to the area of the flow port 15.
