Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve accuracy in the control of fuel supply remarkably, by controlling fuel injection valves depending on the operational condition of engine, and also controlling the opening of an electromagnetic fuel metering valve by a pressure sensor for detecting the pressure of fuel in an accumulator.
CONSTITUTION: Time duration for one injection of fuel injection valves 6 and opening of an electromagnetic fuel metering valve 12 are controlled by a control circuit 16 on the basis of the output signals of a sensor 42 for detecting the amount of intake air, a sensor 44 for detecting the rotational angle of engine, a sensor 45 for detecting the temperature of engine cooling water, a fuel-temperature sensor 46, etc. After being pre-pressurized by a feed pump 10, fuel is carried to a plunger pump 11 and pressurized to a predetermined level, and then accumulated in an accumulator 13. Here, the pressure of fuel in the accumulator 13 is controlled by an electromagnetic fuel metering valve 12. At the same time, the signal relating to the pressure of fuel in accumulator 13 is fed back to control circuit 16 as an output of a potentiometer 23.
