Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a die capable of giving uniform coarseness on the surface of film by establishing heat-insulating layer between exit and inlet ports of coolant and spiral mandrel and thereby improving the heat insulating efficiency. CONSTITUTION:Inflation film is available by flowing out the thermoplastic synthetic resin from the passage 18. At this procedure, mandrel A is locally cooled by flowing coolant from heat insulating passage 16, leading it to the coolant gathering passage 13, then to the coolant sump 14 through distribution hole 11, and flow it thru the spiral passage 15 for cooling purpose. After cooling the mandrel, the coolant is led to the other coolant sump 14, and is discharged from exhaust passage 17 thru the gathering passage 13. By this constitution, only the mandrel A is locally cooled by giving efficiently uniform temp. to the entire body.
