Abstract

PURPOSE: To vertically circulate casting sand and let the binder to be evenly mixed by providing rotary blades within the cell which has a spray device and gradually reduces downward.
CONSTITUTION: A tube shaft 14 by a prime mover is revolved at a high speed. Next, mold sand is charged into a cell 11 from a hopper 23. Then, the mold sand falls dowm to the position alongside the bottom opening 12 owing to gravity, where it is pushed up outward and upward along the slope of a lower blode 17 and further it is pushed outward and upward by a middle blade 18. It is then brought downward along the tube shaft 14 by an upper blade 16 and is mixed with the binder from a sprayer 23'. When the pressing force of the lower opening 12 increases upon increasing of the amount of the mold sand and binder, the mold sand and binder are discharged outside the cell 11 through the lower opening 12 because the raising force of the lower blade 17 near the tube shaft 14 is small.
