Abstract
PURPOSE: The captioned device which makes large volume production of the sintered bodies having the intended density at strict control levels by controlling the positions of compressing elements by way of the pressing devices for compressing elements which receive the outputs of the detectors detecting the operating positions of the compressing elements and move the compressing elements into and out from the polyhedral space.
CONSTITUTION: When a control unit 26 is started, the unit 26 changes over 4-way solenoid valves 22, 23 to let hydraulic cylinders 6, 16 elongate, thereby applying pressure to the bodies to be sintered by way of compressing elements 7, 16. When current is suppled to the body to be sintered by way of the compressing element 7 and die 1a at this same instant, the body to be sintered softens and is compressed. When the input pulses from oil meters 24, 25 reach respectively the specified values, the unit 26 changes over the valves 22, 23 to a neutral state. Then, the cylinders 6, 16 elongate by the specified distance to let the compressing elements 7, 16 to protrude in the closed three-dimensional space. If the weights of the bodies to be sintered are beforehand unified to a desired value, the densities of the sintered bodies may be evened. After completion of the sintering, all the hydraulic cylinders are once contracted, after which the compressing element 18 is protruded to take out the sintered body.
