Abstract

PURPOSE: To shorten film travel distance, miniaturize the device and evenly develop the entire surface of the film by spraying developing solution on the film on the slope which is inclined upward toward the advancing direction of the film.
CONSTITUTION: The film F having been exposed by the camera enters a solution reservoir vessel 361 and makes uniform contact with the developing solution in the vessel 361. Next, the developing solution is sprayed onto the film emulsion surface by a nozzle 370 on the inclined plane 362, whereby the development is accelerated. In this case, the developing solution is injected in the direction opposite from the advancing direction of the film and therefore, the development is accelerated more as compared to other development systems. Hence, the travel distance of the film may be made relatively short and the film developed sufficiently, thus the entire surface of the film is evenly developed. If the film feed speed is the same, the apparatus may be made smaller than before.
