Abstract

PURPOSE: To form protrusions with good workability without using any female dies by beforehand forming the intended molding portions of a shell of hollow inside thinner than the non-molding portion and letting liquid pressure be acted from the inside.
CONSTITUTION: Both end openings 4, 4 of a tubular body 3 provided with thin- walled portions 2, 2 are hermetically sealed with axial load dies 5, 5 and high pressure working fluid 6 is force fed into the tubular body 3. The liquid pressure 6a of the fluid 6 causes the thin-walled portions 2, 2 to bulge outward in annular form, whereby, e.g. a bellows 7 is hydrostatic bulge formed.
