Abstract
PURPOSE: To transfer a pattern in good efficiency and reproducibility by sticking a transfer sheet forming an ink layer of the desired pattern to a transferred body with a special adhesive layer and heating and pressing them.
CONSTITUTION: A transfer sheet is prepared by forming a thin layer composed of chlorinated rubber, acrylic resin, etc. on a substrate sheet made of polyester, etc. and then printing a desired pattern in the ink containing dispersible dye, acid dye or metal complex salt dye. On the other hand an adhesive layer composed of the resin which can be dyed by the above dyes is formed on the transferred matter made of Al or alumite obtained by anodic oxidation and sticking the transfer sheet to the adhesive layer and heating and pressing them, the ink layer is let to be bound with the adhesive layer. Then by means of dry or wet heating the dye is let to be diffused ant transferred in the adhesive layer. When the binder in the ink layer is removed by buffing or solvent cleaning, the desired pattern is transferred.
