Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable formation of a perfect water-stopping layer by filling grout material in the gap at the rear portion of a cutting edge to form a whole grout layer.
CONSTITUTION: A consolidated cutting edge 1 having a desired shape and a desired thickness is pulled through traction members 2, and pulled and consolidated into the ground from the front side by means of traction jacks 3, to form a consolidated soil zone in the ground around and in front of the cutting edge 1. Grout material 6 is injected into the gap of a desired width formed at the rear of the cutting edge 1 through an injection pipe 5 attached to the rear portion of the cutting edge 1, so as to replace the soil with the grout material 6 and thereby to form a perfect water-stopping grout layer.
