PURPOSE: To reclaim metal-contg. sludge as metal refining raw material by dehydrating the sludge after which it is dried, mixed with grinding chips, and compression-molded without adding a hardening agent and water.
CONSTITUTION: Metal-contg. sludge is sedimentation-separated in thickener 1, dehydrated in dehydrator 2, and dried with dryer 3. Fine powder sludge scattered is collected with collector 4 and stored in storage tank 5 together with the dry sludge. On the other hand, grinding chips 6 formed in a grinding process is disentangled with vibrator 7, and a fixed quantity of the chips is fed to compression molding machine 10 through subhopper 8 and feeder 9. At this time, more than 30wt% of the chips is mixed into less than 70wt% of the dry sludge, and this mixt. is compression-molded and used as metal refining raw material.
