Abstract
PURPOSE: To make it possible to accomplish the parallel tests of multiple samples under absolutely the same condition by moving the weight table up and down by means of an air cylinder.
CONSTITUTION: A number of test pieces 3 cut slender are bent so that the upper portion of a weigth is supported at a ring portion of each test piece whereas the remaining end is fixed by means of a chuck 2. An air cylinder 8 is operated to move the weight table 5 up and down. When the table 5 is raised to lift a weight 4, the load upon the piece 3 is reduced to zero. In the downward movement, all the loads of the weights 4 are applied. The upward and downward movements of the weight table are repeated in a preset period until the pieces 3 are ruptured by the creep in response to the signals from a microcomputer 1. The time until the pieces are ruptured is measured by the timer in the microcomputer 1 in response to the ON and OFF signal of the microswitch. Thus, the rupture time for each piece is automatically fed to the memory in the microcomputer 1 for each rupture.
