Abstract

PURPOSE:To measure continuously suspension of original water exceeding the turbidity measurement limit of a light penerating method by holding filter paper between the filter cell and liquid supply cell of a filter and by using an original liquid supplying quantitative pump and a pressure detecting method which measure the pressure loss of the filter. CONSTITUTION:Part of an original liquid from passage 1 is branched by branching pipe 2 and then supplied to the bottom of liquid supply cell 7 in a cylindrical shape through quantitative pump 3. At the downstream side of quantitative pump 3, buffer chamber 23 is provided and pressure gauge 22 is connected to it. Further, washing-water pipe 5 is connected as a branch to the above-mentioned branching pipe 2 so to lead a washing liquid into the liquid supply cell by switching valves 4 and 6. Cylindrical filter cell 9 is mounted on liquid supply cell 7 and cylindrical filter 24 is formed of both the cells. Then, filter cell 9 is moved vertically by air cylinder 21 and compressor 19. On the bottom of filter cell 9, filter-paper support plate 10 is fitted and between filter cell 9 and liquid supply cell 7, filter paper 16 from filter-paper cartridge 15 is held. Under liquid supply cell 7, washing liquid receptacle 13 is provided and washing-liquid outlet 14 is provided to its bottom.
