Abstract

PURPOSE: To calculate the contents of spermidine and spermine in a sample respectively by measuring color reaction, using hydrogen peroxide formed by making cattle blood plasma amine oxidase upon sample body fluids, in two kinds of specific methods and by using two obtained values.
CONSTITUTION: The polyamine quantitative measurement making use of luminesescence of a luminous sample (e.g. a phosphoric-acid buffer solution of 4-aminoantipyrine, phenol and peroxidase) by hydrogen peroxide formed by making cattle blood plasma amine oxidase upon sample body fluids is carried out in rate assay and end-point assay methods and simultaneous equations of equations I and II are solved to obtain spermidine density [D] and spermine density [M]. Further, simultaneous equations different in coefficient from the above-mentioned equations are used for a case of using fixed cattle blood plasma amine oxidase.
