Abstract

NEW MATERIAL:Dicyclohexyl neophyltin derivative of formula (R1,2 are H or lower alkyl; M is 1 or 2; when m is 1, X is Cl, Br, F, OH, etc.; and when m is 2, X is O, S or SO4).
EXAMPLE: Dicyclohexyl neophyltin chloride.
USE: Miticide harmless to crops, and effective to various mites noxious to plants.
PROCESS: For example, neophyl chloride is reacted with Mg in THF to obtain neophyl magnesium chloride. The compound is made to react with dicyclohexyltin dichloride and hydrolyzed to afford a compound of the formula (wherein R1,R2 are H, X is Cl and m is 1). The compound is optionally alkylated or treated with alkali to obtain the desired derivative.
