Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the granulating capacity of paint flying in the direction of the material being coated from the circumferential end part of the rotating atomizing head with centrifugal force, by supplying the paint from the feed tube to the atomizing head being in rotation. CONSTITUTION:An atomizing head rotary shaft 11 is driven and rotated by an air motor 6 to put an atomizing head 17 in rotation together. By closing the switch of high voltage power source, high voltages are passed through high voltage cable 13, electric contact 13a, spring 15, spherical bearing 8, conductive foam 11b, high resistant resistor 11a, conductife foam 11f, conductor 11e, spring 18 and conductor 17b to be applied to a conductive coating part 17a. In this state, the paint is supplied to the rotating atomizing head 17 through a feed tube 22 from the paint supply system, and is scattered in the direction of the material being painted as fine particles from the circumferential end part. Thus atomized paint is charged by application of high voltage in said coating part 17a, and is electrostatically spread.
