Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the function of an exhaust gas re-combustion chamber by forming an exhaust gas collecting chamber with an outer liner and an inner liner such that it is divided into a first chamber on the inlet side and a second chamber on the outlet side and that air-fuel mixture in an intake distributing chamber is heated by heat exchange with the exhaust gas in the second chamber.
CONSTITUTION: An exhaust manifold B is surrounded by a casing 13a having a large wall thickness and includes an inner isolated thin metal outer liner 13c. The outer liner 13c accommodates an inner liner 13d. The interior of the inner liner 13d is divided into a first chamber on the inlet side, which consists of a front chamber 20 and a rear chamber 21, and a second chamber 22, which surrounds the first chambers 20 and 21. The exhaust gas heats intake distributing chambers 9 and 11 prior to passing through an intake gas exhaust pipe 19 through the inner liner 13d, an exhaust hole 26 and a port 28.
