Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve combustion and reduce fuel consumption as a whole by feeding air onto the rear side of the combustion chamber of a rotary engine in the latter half of intake stroke and forming a dense-thin mixed gas range in the combustion chamber.
CONSTITUTION: In a housing 10 which has trochoid inner surface 11 and stores a rotor 20 in regular triarcuate from, intake and exhaust ports 13 and 16 are formed on the same side, and in the combustion range formed on the opposite side to said both ports 13 and 16, spark plugs 17 and 18 are arranged. In the housing 10 in the vicinity of the intake port 13, an air introducting port 14 is drilled in the direction of revolution of the rotor 20, and in an introducing passage 19, a control valve 30 is arranged.
