Abstract

PURPOSE:To carry out the error control through the simple constitution of the circuit by performing the data transfer between units in parallel along with the inverted data, and thus to accelerate the error detection time and thus to increase the detecting capacity. CONSTITUTION:In case the data transfer is carried out between the CPU and input/ output control unit IOC, the following circuits are installed at interface parts IF1 and IF2: switch control circuits SWC1-SWC4 for the two-way data transfer; buffer circuits BF1-BF4; inversion control circuits IV1 and IV2; coincidence detection circuits CP1 and CP2, timing generation circuits TG1 and TG2; and gate circuits G1-G7. Thus the parallel data are transmitted in inversion and continuously after transmitting once the parallel data from the transmission side. At the same time, the comparison and collation is given at the reception side between the noninversion parallel data and the inversion parallel data. And when the coincidence is detected under the inverse relation, the correct reception data is processed; while the retransmission request is given to the transmission side in case no coincidence is obtained. With this retransmission request, the inverse transmission is carried out again at the transmission side.
