Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the communication load between the information processors, by adding the time to the diagnosing information which is transmitted from a using information processor to a stand-by information processor. CONSTITUTION:A using information processor 1' transmits the diagnosing information ENQ' containing the time T1 delivered from a timing function 8 to a diagnosing information receiving part 51' of a stand-by information processor 2' from a diagnosing information transmitting part 41' via a mutual communication function 3. The part 51' performs a process based on the information ENQ' and transmits the time T1 to a time compensating part 53. The part 53 compensates the time T2 of a timing function 9 so as to make it synchronous with the time T1 and then sends the diagnosis answer information ACK' added with the error value DELTAT between T2 and T1 back to the processor 1'. The processor 1' receives the information ACK' at a receiving part 43' and delivers a stand-by normal signal A through a gate 45 if the information ACK' reaches within the prescribed time and at the same time the value DELTAT is within the reference error value at an error time inspecting part 44. In case when the information ACK' does not arrive although the prescribed time elapses or the value DELTAT exceeds the reference level, a stand-by fault signal N is delivered through a gate 46.
