Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the retentivity of a layer-built cell by remelting filler upon external heating of the cell housed with a sheathed case to then resolidify it so as to preferably seal a port of the cell when sealing the port of the cell with wax.
CONSTITUTION: A layer-built cell is obtained by coating a block 2 of a stack of a cell element 1 with wax 3, containing it in a sheathed case 9, and sealing the port with an anode current collector plate 8 connected to a terminal plate 6. When the stack is coated with wax 3, a hole 4 occurs at the wax solidifying time. Even if it is coated further with stack grommet 5, a gap 7 occurs. Acoordingly, it is heated externally such as by passing it through a hot wind tunnel to thereby remelt the wax 3 of layer and to resolidify it and to then fill it in a hole 4 or the like and to further shrink heat shrinkable stack grommet 5 to thereby remove the gap 7. It is preferable to heat at 100-300°C. for 15 seconds to 3 minuts in the above step.
