Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate the discontinuation of the driving current at the speed reduction time by generating several units of pulses every time the magnetic head passes through a track and then varying the velocity setting signals with every counting of the generated pulses, thus preventing occurrence of the vibration and the noise at the mobile part.
CONSTITUTION: The position signal is applied every time the magnetic head passes through one track, and the pulses are generated through comparator circuit 12 and mono-multi 14. At the same time, the pulses are generated through comparator circuit 13 and mono-multi 15 with inversion at inverse amplifier 11. The both pulses are supplied to OR circuit 16 to obtain the logic sum and then integrated through integrator 17. Based on this output, the pulses are generated at comparator circuit 18 and mono-multi 19 to obtain the logic sum at OR circuit 20 with the pulse from circuit 16. For the subtraction, the shift track number is set previously to subtraction counter 21 via the shift track number setting signal. When the contents becomes lower than a fixed level, the contents of counter 21 is displayed directly at the output of gate 23a...to be supplied to DA comparator 24. As a result, the output is reduced by a fixed level, and the velocity setting signal is generated through square root circuit 25.
