Abstract

PURPOSE: To ensure a quick and accurate detection of the acceleration with a simple constitution, by generating the pulse signals having the cycles according to the speed of a car and detecting the acceleration from the change of the pulse intervals.
CONSTITUTION: When the motor grader 1 is running, the pulse train signals P0, P1, P2 and so on are delivered with the cycles according to the rotational frequency of the driving wheel 3, i.e., the speed of a car. These signals are applied to the input terminal T1 of the signal process circuit 10 and delayed by a fixed time through the delay circuit 11 to be applied successively to the counter 13 in the form of the clear pulses. The pulse train signals are also applied to the register 14 and the central arithmetic processor 15 as the clock pulses and the interruption pulses each. At the same time, the high-speed pulse Pc is applied to the counter 13 from the clock pulse generator 12. The time interval (t) of the pulse train is taken into the processor 15, and the acceleration α is calculated from the time intervals. In such way, the acceleration can be detected in a quick and accurate way.
