Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide enamel frit having superior resistances to acid and hot water and capable of providing high thermal impact resistance to enamel by blending Li2O and a little boron and by adding B2O3, TiO2, SiO2, ZrO2, MgO, etc. in a predetermined ratio.
CONSTITUTION: The enamel frit contains, by wt., LiO 0.5W4% as an essential componet, Li2O+Na2O and/or K2O 10W25%, B2O3 0W2.5%, TiO2 1W26% and SiO2 30W65%. By regulating the total content of SiO2, TiO2 and ZrO2 in the frit to 31W65% the impact resistance of the frit is prevented from lowering, and the heat resistance is maintained by adding BaO 1W35%. In addn., by regulating the total content of BaO, MgO, ZnO, CaO and SrO to 10W35% the thermal impact resistance, hot water resistance and meltability are prevented from lowering. Below 10% of one or more out of F2, Sb2O5 and P2O5 can be added to the above compsn. without deteriorating the basic properties.
