Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the title cheap ozonizer with high O3 yield per unit vol. and high reliability by holding a wire-netlike electrode body between electrically conductive films coated on the insides of two flat-platelike dielectrics so that the body contacts to the films and by setting a plane electrode in parallel with the resulting discharge electrode with a gap in-between.
CONSTITUTION: A high voltage generated by applying an AC voltage to the low voltage side of transformer 5 is applied to each wire net 14 held between glass plates 11, 12 through insulator 10 and electric connection parts 15 of glass electrodes, and it is applied to electrically conductive films 13 connecting to net 14 with little resistance. On the other hand, since each plane electrode 17 is grounded through a drum, electric potential is formed between electrode 17 and film 13, and silent discharge is produced in the space between them when the potential exceeds the dielectric strength of the space.
