Abstract
PURPOSE: To make it possible to apply the aniline point measurement to a wide range of petroluim, while ensuring high measurement accuracy, by using a temperature control circuit, a differential circuit and an arithmetic circuit together.
CONSTITUTION: Sample oil and aniline are injected in the same quantity into a sample cell 2, which is equipped with a light source 3 in a bath 1 and a light receiver 4, and are blended by means of a stirring rod 5. The bath 1 is heated by a heater 7 through a rising temperature control circuit 6 through an overall control circuit 14. When the temperature rising rate of the blended liquid reaches 1 to 2°C/min, the value dI/dT (wherein: T stands for the output corresponding to the quantity of the light transmitted; and T stands for the temperature of the liquid) is measured in a differential circuit 9 in accordance with the information from a thermometer 8 and the receiver 4. When this value becomes zero, the circuit 9 and the heating operation are stopped. The output I at that transparent point is stored as Is in an arithmetic circuit 10, which calculates the relationship of ΔI=Is-I. On the other hand, the mixed liquid is cooled through a temperature lowering control circuit 11 so that the temperature when the value ΔI reaches the preset value is recorded as the aniline point in the printer 13.
