Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent an adhesive from flowing out into spaces such as ink reservoirs by providing grooves at adhering sections of a substrate where the ink reservoirs, ink supplying passages and nozzles are formed. CONSTITUTION:A vapour coated film 12 such as Au is provided on a glass substrate 11 for instance, and on this film a photoresistor 13 is painted. Then after exposing and developing it, and removing the vapour coated film, the substrate is etched to form ink reservoirs 6, ink supply passages 7, and grooves 9. The vapour coated film 12 that remains on the substrate 11 is completely removed, and an adhesive is supplied; thus a required head is obtained.
