Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable engraving of various seals without requirig skills and in a short time by conducting etching by using as a mask a photoresist picture printed on the surface of a seal material by the use of a sealing film.
CONSTITUTION: As the seal material 14 is used a material fitted for an etching process, e.g. metallic or plastic material, and a surface 15 wherein the seal is engraved is coated with a photoresist such as glue photosensitive liquid. The sealing film 11' turned inside out is attached to the surface 15, and when a light is applied thereto from a light source 16 having prescribed luminous intensity, a photoresist coated film on the surface 15 is exposed to the light. By developing this, the photoresist picture B based on the seal is formed on the surface 15. Then, by using this photoresist picture B as a mask, etching is conducted. By cleansing this relief printing part to remove photoresist and etching liquid and attaching a corrosion-proof protecting film to the surface where the seal is engraved, engraving of the seal is completed and the seal C is formed is relief on the surface 15.
