Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the production of non-wetting part defects by parallel or radially inserting insertion materials having a melting point equal to or higher than that of brazing material in the joint gap.
CONSTITUTION: Insertion materials 12-1 thru 12-5 are parallel inserted in a joint gap 2 and these are heated up to the specified brazing temperature by a gas flame or high frequency induction heater. Next, brazing materials 3 are inserted from one side face of the joint in the order of the brazing materials 3-1, 3-2...3-5. Molten braze 4 is flowed preferentially in the substantially small gap parts along the insertion materials 12-1 thru 12-5. The production of non-wetting part defects is prevented by the linear flow including the flow from the peripheries of the insertiion materials to the lateral directions, whereby the bonding surfaces are brazed finally over the entire part thereof.
