Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the size of a power supply for an electromagnetic clutch brake in manner that the power supply can be assembled within a terminal box of a brake motor by inserting a capacitor to the input side circuit of a rectifier for lowering the AC voltage thereby.
CONSTITUTION: A rectifier Rf is connected at the input side thereof through a capacitor C to an AC power supply terminal 1. Thus, the capacitance of the capacitor C operates as an impedance. When the AC voltage from the AC power supply is lowered by the capacitor C and applied then to the rectifier Rf and converted into direct current thereby to a coil 2. Thus, since the capacitance of the capacitor C is used to lower the voltage as an impedance, it can eliminate a transformer to thereby reduce the size of a power supply without the transformer to be thus enable in assembly within the terminal box of the brake motor.
