Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to generate automatically a reset signal by providing an initial reset signal generating circuit on an integrating circuit system with a method of discharging a capacitor when a direct-current voltage becomes below a normal value.
CONSTITUTION: When the power switch is closed and direct-current voltage Vcc exceeds the Zener voltage of Zener diode D2, transistors TrQ4 and TrQ3 turn ON and TrQ2 OFF to charge capacitor C1 by Vcc via resistance R2. When the charged voltage of C1 exceeds VBE of TrQ1 TrQ1 is ON and the collector voltage of TrQ1 is 0V. The electronic device applied with it is in an initial period corresponding to the OFF-state period of TrQ1. With the power switch OFF, Vcc falls down to less than the Zener voltage of D2 and then Trs Q4 and Q3 are OFF while TrQ2 is ON; and C1 is discharged rapidly and TrQ1 turns OFF as well, thereby generating an intial reset signal. Consequently, the power is truned On-OFf not by an operator and the initial reset signal is automatically generated.
