Abstract

PURPOSE: To control the idling revolution speed of an engine on the basis of such factors as the warmed-up state of the engine and the turned-on or off state of an air conditioner and accurately regulate the revolution speed of the engine through a simple construction without providing plural controllers for separate purposes.
CONSTITUTION: An air control valve 30 is provided between air conduits 21, 22, which are installed to bypass a throttle valve 17. The degree of opening of the valve element 35 of the control valve 30 is indirectly regulated by an electromagnetic mechanism 50, the energization of which is controlled by an electronic air controller 60. This controller comprises a D-A converter 100 which receives a signal from a revolution speed sensor 18 to generate a voltage consisting of a voltage proportional to the revolution speed and a saw-toothed voltage synchronized with the revolution of the engine and superposed on the former voltage, a function voltage generator 200 which produces a voltage corresponding to a condition of the engine, a comparator 300 which compares the outputs of the generator 200 and the converter 100 with each other, an integration circuit 400, a first switching circuit 800 and a second switching circuit 900.
