Abstract

PURPOSE: To reliably perform the control at the time of the operation in such a way that an additional air feeder is assembled in the engine air-to-fuel ratio controller in order to operate the apparatus during warm-up or transient operation.
CONSTITUTION: Proportional solenoid devices 17, 31 are respectively installed on an air bleed duct 16 in the main system, and on an air bleed duct 30 in the slow system, and air-to-fuel ratio is controlled in the process of feed-back predicated on signals from an O2 sensor which is installed on an exhaust manifold 4. Besides, an additional air feed duct 39 equipped with a proportional solenoid device 40 at its tip opens at an air inlet manifold 3. Though signals from the O2 sensor 47 is compared with the reference value from a reference voltage generating circuit 49 by a comparison circuit 48, and output is given through an integration circuit 50, signals from a negative pressure sensor 57 are given their output through temperature and timer circuits 56, 61, so during warm-up or transient operation, the operation of the additional air solenoid device 40 can be done.
