Abstract
PURPOSE: To generate bubbles in a liquid to be deaerated by the kinetic energy of liquid columns, agitate an upper layer portion of the liquid and deaerate the liquid effectively by a method wherein the liquid to be deaerated is injected into the liquid stored in a deaeration tank in a vacuum atmosphere.
CONSTITUTION: When a liquid to be deaerated is flowed in from an inlet 20 to the liquid to be deaerated and jetted in a liquid columnlike shape 23 into a vacuum atmosphere 22 in a deaeration tank 6 from an injection port 21 by a differential pressure between liquid feed pressure and the vacuum atmosphere, the liquid columns 23 are strongly injected into the liquid to be deaerated stored in the bottom of the tank 6. Consequently, bubbles 24 are generated and the liquid is agitated by a hydraulic energy of the liquid of the liquid columns 23 in the upper layer portion, and the generated bubbles 24 further agitate the stored liquid. Thus, a deaeration layer 25 is formed in the upper portion of the liquid to be deaerated, and the liquid is effectively deaerated in the layer 25. As a result, the liquid is effectively deaerated by means of simple structure.
