Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a deaeration device which can reduce the holding-up of liquid and enables to perform a rapid start-up and shut-down, by a method wherein many plates are perpendicularly placed in a container whose inside pressure is kept at a saturation pressure, and a dispersion device for the liq. to be deaerated is mounted on the top of the plates.
CONSTITUTION: Liquid 6 to be deaerated which is fed to a vacuum tank 1, is uniformly distributed from an upper part to each of multi-plates 2 arranged perpendicularly by means of a distributor 3. The liquid 6, which farms a liquid film 7 to be deaerated, moves downward along surfaces of the multi-plates 2. A weir plate 5 serves as a device which keeps a constant liquid level of a liquid reservoir 9 in the vacuum tank 1, and the liquid in the liquid reservoir 9 is discharged through a discharge pipe 8. The perpendicularly arranged multi-plates 2 constructing a double structure, is heated with a heat medium 10, such as steam, etc., flowed therein, and evaporation (vacuum boiling) on the surface of the multi-plates is promoted. When, for example, the liquid to be deaerated containing fibers, is treated, fine air bubbles adhered to fibers and suspended fibers can be easily dispersed and fine air bubbles adhered to fibers can also be easily separated.
