Abstract
PURPOSE:To shorten manufacturing time, by making the slots of the stator core of a flat motor fully open, inserting windings into the slots, then inserting wedges of high magnetic permeability into the slots and integrally molding the core and the wedges with resin. CONSTITUTION:Slots are punched through a steel band 1. This band is vortically wound to manufacture a stator core 3. Stator windings 7 are inserted with an insulator 6 in the slots 2. Insulating wedges 8 are fitted on the windigns. Magnetic wedges 5 made of a steel sheet of high magnetic permeability such as an electromagnetic steel sheet are then inserted into the slots 2. A number of magnetic wedges 5 corresponding to that of the slots and coupled together on their inner and outer portions are punched out from a single steel sheet and simultaneously inserted into all the slots in the axial direction. Molding resin 16 is then applied to manufacture an integrated stator. Since the magnetic wedges are inserted into the slots in a short time, the manufacturing time of the stator is reduced.
