Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the stoppage of searching caused by the malfunction due to the noise or the like as well as the searching mistake not to select the necessary channel, by detecting the phase error between the reference signal and the oscillation output of the voltage control oscillator and then gating the oscillation output via the detection output. CONSTITUTION:The phase is controlled for voltage control oscillator 19 via the reference signal obtained from the signal received by tuner 9 via synchronous isolating circuit 12. The phase error between the reference signal and the oscillation output of oscillator 19 is detected through phase comparator 20, and the oscillation output is gated 21 via integrating circuit 22. And the coincidence detection is given through coincidence detecting circuit 16 between the reference signal and the oscillation output delivered from gate circuit 21. As a result, the stoppage of searching caused by the malfunction due to the noise or the like can be prevented, and at the same time the searching mistake not to select the necessary channel can be avoided.
