Abstract

PURPOSE:To widen a working gap and increase effects of working chip removal, gap cleaning and the like by opposingly providing magnetic poles of a magnetic field generating device at both of sides sandwiching a working groove of a work. CONSTITUTION:Guides 6, 7 supporting and guiding a wire electrode 1 is moved into an arrow sign direction under keeping a predetermined tension between the guides and the wire electrode 1 is opposed to a work 8 to form a working gap. Wnen a working is proceeded in the work 8 to a position of a worked length 1 from an end surface of the work, a magnetic field is affecting to the working portion by a magnetic field generating device 11, NS poles are opposing at both of sides of a working groove 8a, therefore, acting magnetic fluxes are turning around the working portion opposing to the electrode 1 situating at an end of the groove 8a through the work (usually iron material and affects the magnetic field effectively to the working gap. The working gap is widened by the affecting magnetic field, thereby, removal effect for chips, generated gases and the like are increased and the working is proceeded stably without generating any arc short circuit.
