Abstract

PURPOSE: To correctly detect current without the influence of the external magnetic field by a method wherein a magnetic element is mounted between both coaxial conductors on the external and internal sides, and a lead-out wire is passed through the central portion of the internal conductor.
CONSTITUTION: An internal conductor 1 is arranged coaxially inside an external conductor 2, and a magnetic element 4 is fixed between both the conductor 1, 2, using a supporting member, then a lead wire 6 is led out through the central portion of the internal conductor. Since current flows in an opposite direction within the internal and external conductors, the distribution of magnetic flux on a cross section becomes constant on the circumference at a certain distance between both the conductor 1, 2. The magnetic flux produced outside is magnetically shielded on its internal side by the external conductor 2. Therefore, the magnetic element 4 does not receive the influence of external magnetic force, and the density of the magnetic flux remains unchanged, thus making it possible to detect current accurately.
